Well-Known Nominees

Here's how it's going to run down: there will be a poll at the bottom of this post and you simply just vote for your favorite blog out of all of these arguments! :) Each day, there will be THREE voting rounds posted, so you'll have to scroll down and see all the posts for yourself. Each voting round lasts for exactly a week and once every voting round it done, winners will be announced, and prizes (if you would like to donate contact us. Please remember that if we don't get enough prizes we won't be giving ANY out at all) shipped out—that is, if the winner wants a prize.

For the Well-Known nominees, we asked for: unique pageviews per month, followers, average comment, a little about their blog, and the type of content you post.

Tynga's Reviews

  • Unique page views per month - 55,000 on average
  • Average amount of comments per book review/post - 20 comments, based on last month's posts
  • Followers - 2697+
  • What type of content you post usually - Book reviews, interviews, guest posts, covers reveals, giveaways - All of paranormal nature!
  • A little about your blog - Tynga's Reviews was created in June 2009 and I started as a lone blogger. Over the years, three more bloggers joined me to try to provide our readers with the best content! Fans of paranormal and dystopian genre, both adult and young adult, are sure to find something they like when visiting us :) On a traditionnal week you can find four book reviews, a visiting author with our "When I'm Not Writing" feature, every Thursday we also Dare You to Read an older release we loved and you can find out what we added to our shelves on Saturday, with our Stacking the Shelves meme! About three times a year we also shake things up with month long events where we invite plenty of amazing authors and celebrate their releases with interview, guest posts and giveaways! Paranormal Summer Camp is one of them and is currently happening!

Xpresso Reads
Xpresso Reads
  • Unique page views per month: Xpresso Reads is turning 1 on September 9th, so in one year I'm at a total of 290,000+ page views and 129,000+ unique visitors.
  • Average amount of comments per book review/post: This ranges a lot depending on the popularity of the book and my rating (strangely), on average, I'd say around 30-35 comments, but less popular novels may only get 20, while more popular ones can get 40-45+ (I got 50 on my Girl of Nightmares review). This is not including any comments I post myself as replies.

    • RSS: 2850
  • What type of content you post usually: Reviews, interviews, guest posts, and giveaways. I also have a very popular (I get lots of thank yous) new release post called Fresh Batch. And I participate in 2 weekly memes (WoW and StS). Cover reveals are rare on the blog as I post them on my Facebook page.
  • A little about your blog: I started my blog in September 2011 after having been reviewing on Goodreads for a year, and before that on a Facebook app. It's mostly YA novels that are covered but I do enjoy and review adult books as well. I post an average 4 reviews a week. My design was made by Parajunkee which turned out better than I was expecting, I do my own banners for tours and sidebar, however. I have a "book of the month"on my sidebar which is called (the month's) brew that I chose either my most anticipated, or a book I have already read and loved, that is releasing this month. I also have my previous month's reviews on my sidebar: A feature I thought of and started back in November, 2011 which people seem to really like by the feedback I've received. It also let's people see reviews that they may have missed, and at the same time the reviews get "featured" on the blog for longer. I'm very social and I love to chat with other bloggers which is my absolute favorite part of blogging. This is something I love and I hope it shows in what I give you!

  • What type of content you post usually - Book Reviews, Blogger Tutorials, Social Memes, Movie Reviews
  • A little about your blog: Parajunkee’s View, started in August of 2009, primarily focuses on books, fiction genre books to be specific. But, over time the blog has morphed into a community outlet for much more, including movies (usually based on books), television shows and other entertaining, artistic outlets. The blog also features tutorials for other bloggers on how to improve their own blogs, and memes that target improving page views and networking.

We review 15-20 books every month and have a dedicated review team who not only write fab reviews but also indulge in a little creative indulgence with fun special event editorials. For example

We give over control to the readers for three days at the end of each month, to let YOU decide who your Favorite Authors and Stories are, then we award nifty Readers Choice badges to the winners

Our Signature Interviews are highly coveted spots for authors. You can’t get one by asking – we have to love your characters and story enough to offer it to you. And what fun interviews these are! See a few here:

We review and host guest spots of ALL heat levels, from chaste YA to curl-your-toes-and-wash-your-mouth-out erotic.

Bitten by Paranormal Romance

  • Unique page views per month 20,000
  • Average amount of comments per book review/post anywhere from 1 to 5, depends on the book reviewed
  • Followers 1,900+
  • What type of content you post usually: paranormal romance reviews, guest post, interviews etc..
  • A little about your blog: My blogs name is Bitten by Paranormal Romance, I started the blog in Dec. 2009, since it’s has grown tremendously beyond my expatiations. There are 11 regular reviewers and 3 that review whenever they can. The blog is decanted to reviewing adult paranormal romance and hosting paranormal romance guest authors. The site also hosts several, week long annually events, along with a month long event in October called Characterfest. I also host the 18 and over book blogger hop twice a year. I am a blogger that likes to help out other blogs. I host a group on Facebook where we book bloggers can talk and get help in private. My pet week last year was so great that I wanted to do something with another blogger and make it bigger. I hooked up with Danielle @ Romance book junkies, I told her a bit of what I wanted and she surpassed my idea and came up with and awesome event for 2014 named “Blogger help Paws with a Cause.”

We are incredibly shocked to be nominated for the Well-Known Blogger category!
Man, I just love that gif.
  • Unique page views per month: Within the last three months we have had a steady average of around 30,000 unique visitors a month.
  • Average amount of comments per book review/post: This one is hard. Depends on the post and day, but I want to say an average of at least 10-20 comments on reviews and 30 or more on discussion posts. Of course there are always those posts you work incredibly hard on only to get 1 comment! >.<
  • Followers:
    • Twitter: 1,295
    • Email Subscribers: 356
    • Networked blogs: 129
    • RSS: around 500
  • What type of content you post usually: We post reviews, giveaways, our discussion posts (Musing Musers) and our signature story interviews, where we get attacked by murderous ghosts, fight ninjas, travel to the Underworld, crash land space ships, fight dragons and generally see awesome authors in their truest form: Badass. On Monday's we cover book world news with our Buzz Worth News feature.
  • Blog start date (When you started your blog): Our blog officially opened on Feb. 13th. So we *just* celebrated our 6 months mark this month. Whoo-hoo!
  • A little about your blog: We have a little story on how we became a blog, but we don't want to hog the blog post, so you can read it here. It may shock you to find out that Kat avoided my advances initially. And now at 6 months strong we've had over 200,000 page views to our site. Best decision ever!

    • Informal, yet slightly fabricated, response: We are just a few reviewers originating from GoodReads, where in one drunken shenanigan-filled night had the brilliant idea to start a book blog. Our only goal? To rock your face off.
    • Formal response: Kat and I started Cuddlebuggery when we both realized how incredibly hard it is to blog alone. Along the way our co-blogger, Archer, joined our ranks. The goal was to start a blog that was completely different, doing things you don't typically see on review blogs. But along with promoting great reads, we wanted to entertain people too. We strive to create unique, humorous and high quality posts each and every time. Also, we like gifs. ;D
