Best Author Blog Nominees!

Here's how it's going to run down: there will be a poll at the bottom of this post and you simply just vote for your favorite blog out of all of these arguments! :) Each day, there will be THREE voting rounds posted, so you'll have to scroll down and see all the posts for yourself. Each voting round lasts for exactly a week and once every voting round it done, winners will be announced, and prizes (if you would like to donate contact us. Please remember that if we don't get enough prizes we won't be giving ANY out at all) shipped out—that is, if the winner wants a prize.

For the Best Author Blog nominees, we didn't ask for any specific information, since we know all authors are very busy. So if the author did not submit anything, we just listed the books they've published and linked them to their Goodreads page. (Note these are FULL books that will be linked, not any novellas. Also, we only included books that have a cover, title, and a set publication date. If the author co-wrote the book, it was not included)

My books are all based around the paranormal, with an edge of darkness, and a good sloshing of sexiness thrown in. I have several books out at the moment, and my next novel 'Erin', the sequel to 'Conner' will be out in September. Conner is a paranormal fantasy horror, a non-gory werewolf story told from the angle of someone who is firmly set in reality, giving the book a different quality from other horror books. I wanted to write Conner as I could read proficiently from the age of three, and I was writing my own short stories from the age of six-so writing is what I knew I wanted to do. Conner is incomparable to any other book in its genre. It is written in an entirely new way, turning the myth of werewolves completely on its head; not borrowing from the tired Hollywood genres, but using more ancient myths as the springboard for its ideas. It has more than one side to it, as it encompasses horror, suspense, romance, thrills, and even dark humour.

I also have my series out, The Bassinville Witches. Three of the books are out so far, and I have set myself the task of writing one of these novellas every month until there is a full set of twelve! This is a series of paranormal fantasy books, with a good helping of erotica thrown in. *giggle* It centres around Catherine, a young witch whose father was murdered years ago by a group of bad magick-wielders, and her search with her friends for twelve rare crystals. But they meet with obstacles at every turn, so will they find all of them in time?

I have well over 5700 followers on my blog, some of them are other authors, and some of them are just people who like books. All of them like books actually, I imagine.  My blog content consists around author interviews, giveaways, and reviews of books. Although sometimes I do like to have a post or two about random thoughts that pop up in my brain. The reviews of books and my author interviews are of almost any kind of books, but I like to mainly review dark fiction, paranormal genre, or fantasy books. I'm also a tour host with Dark Mind Book Tours

I love every author interview I've done, but my favourite to date has to be a recent interview with Jana Oliver. Not only is she the only author who has appeared on my blog who was published with a big publisher, but she is also a really lovely lady! She gave a great interview, and I was able to do a review of her most recent book. She even dropped by and send a little comment on my blog to thank me! It was great fun doing it.

Also, more recently, I just got nominated for the Versatile Blogger Award by one of my lovely author friends, Karli Rush. It was fantastic to have my blog noticed, as I put a lot of hard work into it. I have interview and reviews every weekday, and I like them to be perfect, so I easily spend one to two hours every morning setting up blog posts. Then I promote them across Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn.

Vaempires
Books
Vaempires: Revolution - It is the morning of Princess Cassandra’s sixteenth birthday. Everyone’s attention is focused on the heir to the vampire throne. World leaders, the rich and famous, and VIPs from every corner of the globe have gathered in the nation’s capital to celebrate the momentous event.

Cassandra’s boyfriend, Daniel, is late for the party. He’s still outside the city when all hell breaks loose. What he believes is an act of terrorism proves to be a full-fledged revolution. Væmpires—former vampires who mutated into warm-blooded creatures with an insatiable hunger for cold blood—have launched coordinated attacks across the globe, with three goals: the eradication of humanity, the enslavement of vampires, and the ascension of væmpires as the dominant species on the planet.

The vampire and human leaders are killed. Cassandra is missing. Daniel is the acting king. Desperate to find the princess, Daniel and his friends fight their way across the besieged city. With the hopes of the free world resting on the shoulders of four vampire teenagers, væmpires unleash their secret weapons: a new breed of væmpire that is far deadlier than any ever seen before.

What can four teens do against an enemy that can shape-shift, fly, and walk through walls?

Vaempires - White Christmas - It’s almost Christmas. With the global holiday days away, the people of the world should be turning their attention toward celebrating peace and goodwill, but tension between humans, vampires, and væmpires is at an all-time high. Desperate for solutions, King Brant schedules a secret summit deep in North America’s Northern Forest. Along with Queen Anne, Princess Cassandra, Daniel’s family, and the human president and First Lady, the vampire leader seeks to reaffirm the ties between humans and vampires, while brainstorming ways to respond to the growing hostility among vaempires.

Meanwhile, Daniel and Cassie’s relationship is at an all-time low. The princess is still reeling from her breakup with Vielyn, and Daniel doesn’t know what he should or shouldn’t do to help. Little does he know that the summit will be flooded with surprises—guests, allegations, accusations, proposals, and even Christmas Eve revelations—but not all of the surprises will be pleasant.
Typically, I post content featuring other indie authors or share information on guest posts or interviews I've done for other blogs.

I don't really know what you mean in terms of followers. I look over my shoulder all the time; I'm certain someone's following me, but I never actually see anyone. LOL My site averages between 200-300 visitors a day, but I can't say they're all for the blog. Some are probably lost and others come for the free food.

I'll donate a set of Vaempires books as a prize--only you have to promise that Richelle Mead won't win them. Losing to her will be bad enough, but I don't need her using my books as kindling or to balance out a crooked table leg.

JK. Do with them what you will.

If there's anything else I can provide, please let me know. You should know that I'm not above bribery, either. I typically use the hashtag #ihavenoshame on Twitter. I'll do anything to win. Literally. Anything.

Well ... not what you just thought. But most other things.

Release Date: 18 September
Synopsis:
A DYING LAND
The Shima Imperium verges on the brink of environmental collapse; an island nation once rich in tradition and myth, now decimated by clockwork industrialization and the machine-worshipers of the Lotus Guild. The skies are red as blood, the land is choked with toxic pollution, and the great spirit animals that once roamed its wilds have departed forever.

AN IMPOSSIBLE QUEST
The hunters of Shima's imperial court are charged by their Shōgun to capture a thunder tiger – a legendary creature, half-eagle, half-tiger. But any fool knows the beasts have been extinct for more than a century, and the price of failing the Shōgun is death.

A HIDDEN GIFT
Yukiko is a child of the Fox clan, possessed of a talent that if discovered, would see her executed by the Lotus Guild. Accompanying her father on the Shōgun’s hunt, she finds herself stranded: a young woman alone in Shima’s last wilderness, with only a furious, crippled thunder tiger for company. Even though she can hear his thoughts, even though she saved his life, all she knows for certain is he’d rather see her dead than help her.

But together, the pair will form an indomitable friendship, and rise to challenge the might of an empire.
Followers
Erm. Not many? I think I have around 300 subs. I imagine about 2/3rds of those belong to my mum.

  1. Wow! Look at the competition!

Either the universe hates me or I'm the comedic relief.
